Christmas Crusade 2002

True warriors never allow an opportunity to go by without telling the lost about Jesus Christ. December in downtown Atlanta can be brutal. Two foot soldiers braved the elements and stood their ground against the wind and the devil.

A table was set up and gifts were given to anyone who could correctly answer the question, “Which Picture Symbolizes Christmas?” Various pictures of the world’s view of Christmas were on display: Santa Claus, snowmen, reindeer, Christmas trees, presents and even lights. We even had a dancing Santa to attract the crowd.

A lot of people picked the picture of a fat man in a red suit while others chose the reindeer or evergreen tree. Most couldn’t make up their minds and wanted a hint. What a tragedy how the world has reduced this holiday down to a commercial for local retail stores to boost their profit margin. The truth meaning of Christmas is the saving grace of a loving God and the birth of His Son.

The world calls it X-mas. But what is Christmas without Christ? It’s funny how the world celebrates Christmas but won’t accept Christ. The SWAT Team never wants the world to forget there is no Christmas without Christ.
