Church Please Stop Playing Church
When will the true Church of God stop playing and take a stand?
Not the catchy named temples built with the tears and sacrifice
of men. That’s not the church Jesus started with the shedding
of His blood. Jesus is the cornerstone of the Church not a block
of mortar. Jesus said the Kingdom of God had come when He walked
the earth. This Kingdom is within the believers’ heart.
Jesus never intended for the Body of Christ to build a physical
kingdom on the earth. Many of today’s churches are making the
same mistake the Pharisees did in the days of Jesus. They were looking
for a Messiah to set up a physical empire to rule on the earth.
Today’s churches are trying to build empires on the earth in
the name of God. God never said to build a tower to heaven in honor
of Him.
King David wanted to build a tabernacle for God, but Jehovah told
him that he couldn’t because he had blood on his hands. Likewise
the churches of today are trying to building monuments. God won’t
allow it because they refuse to leave the comfort of their church
building to go out and introduce the sinner to Jesus. We talk about
winning souls, but never get around to doing it.
The so-called “Church” has become the laughing stock of
society. We run around in our church buildings shaking under the
power of God, but when we leave we tremble in fear when God ask
us to share the gospel.
The Church is prospering more but members are giving less
toward the Kingdom of God. We profess more power in church
but demonstrate less power away from Church. We enjoy more freedom
through revelation knowledge but are wrapped up in more bondage.
We have more of God’s love but share less with others.
Being religious has left many Churches with little effect
on the world. Some churches act more like a Sanctified Social
Club with tight membership requirements. God’s laborers
are dancing and partying around the altar. God is saying there is
a time to play and there is a time to harvest souls. Now is the
time to put your hands to the plow and not look back.
Jesus hung on the cross for us to be His bold ambassadors. We can’t
hang out inside our churches and allow the devil to have free reign
in the earth. The Lord told us to occupy or get busy until He comes
back. The Bible tells us to “GoYe” into the world not
“Stay Ye”. Christians need to unpack their “rapture
suitcase” with all their material wealth. Jesus is not
coming until we fulfill His commandment to win souls.
The Bible tells us in II Corinthians 4:3 that if our gospel be hid,
it is hid to them that are lost. Have you noticed the lost are not
hanging out in Churches? They are running away from the light and
truth inside the churches. It is time for churches to go out into
their communities. It’s time to introduce sinners to Christ
instead of inviting them to visit our churches hoping they will
join and bring their wallet.
There is a war going on in this earth for the souls of men and women.
Unfortunately too many Christians are so far away from the battle
occurring in the war zone that they don’t even know that there
is a war is going on right now.
We keep on practicing the presence of God instead of taking the
presence of God on the inside of us outside of our church. Keep
on having choir practices instead of going out on the streets and
singing and sending up the praises to God for Him to send the blessings
of salvation and deliverance down to lost souls. The Mothers of
the Church are fighting for front row seats in their church, instead
of being the mother to those in this world who are motherless and
need prayer and some love.
